General FAQs

Are your packs royalty-free? Do I need to worry about Master Clearance?

King Killer Audio loops, hooks, & sample packs ARE 100% royalty-free for online beat leasing and releases under 1 million streams. If that's your scenario, usage is fully granted after purchase and download.

Master clearance and royalties ARE required for:

  1. Major label placements

  2. Indie placements above 1 million streams

  3. Sync placements

For any major label, large indie, or sync placements, contact info@kingkilleraudio.com to discuss credits, publishing, royalties, etc.

Do these work with my DAW / Sampler / Beat Machine?

All hooks, loops, & samples are:

  • 24-bit/44.1kHz format for the maximum compatibility & quality

  • Compatible with DAW software (Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, Luna, Reaper, etc.)

  • Compatible with hardware samplers (Akai MPC Series, Roland SP-404MKII or P-6, Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O.II, etc.)

Are these samples exclusive to me?

King Killer Audio packs are non-exclusive — other producers may purchase and use the same pack.

However, If you need exclusive rights to specific sounds or want something custom-recorded for your project, check out the Custom Tracking Options (pack, song part, full song).

...what's the deal with the bloody guitar on the homepage?

TL;DR: rock show, blood everywhere, means a lot, matches brand ethos.

Long version: (2016) Indie rock show at a record shop. I cut my pick hand mid-set, didn't feel it, and bled all over the guitar. Casey Spring caught the shot.

Ten years later I needed a photo that matched KKA's ethos. Remembered this one. Casey dug it out of his archives.

That's my #1 — hand-built by Ry Charters. It's got proof of what I put into this. The stuff that mattered ten years ago is the same stuff driving me today.
